I grew up in a small, rural town. The house I grew up in was built in 1976 – 3 years before we moved in. No indian burial grounds. No horrific murders. So why did I see a stream of dead people walking up and down the hall each night?
I watched folks from the 1800s (judging from clothing), walking up and down the hallway outside my bedroom and into my room each night. They just paced up and down. If I had to go to the bathroom in the night, I’d squeeze between them. However, it felt like there was a dark presence in the bathroom. While in there, I’d keep my eyes closed.
Our hallway had a floor-length mirror mounted to it. I hated that mirror. I lived in terror that I would see something coming up behind me, especially when vacuuming.
I lived in that house from age 21 months to 14 years old. While I didn’t see them every night, I saw them most. The presence always felt like it was in the bathroom at night.
